Michael’s bio

Michael Johnson, a Chicago native who later moved to Minneapolis, is the lead planter/pastor of Redeemer City Church.  An alum of the University of Minnesota and Reformed Theological Seminary, he married way up to his beautiful wife, Joanne, with whom they have five fairly precocious children.

He and his family moved to Charlotte, NC in 2006 with a compelling vision to begin a church movement based upon two primary centers: the gospel and community. He loves good books and music, is invigorated by the city, has regrettably become a coffee snob, and is a hapless Minnesota professional sports fan.
